Job Description

Job Purpose: 

  • The post holder plans, develops, implements and administers development and training programs for company employees. Also acts as liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates initiatives across the organization 

Key Accountabilities:

Performance Management 

  • Design, develop, monitor and implement performance management system
  • Oversee the annual appraisal process, monitoring compliance with the timetable and working with the head of HR to ensure consistency of quality in appraisal documentation
  • Develop and implement the groups new organization structure policy and design with Org Charts, Job Descriptions, KPIs and objectives
  • Develop the approach to succession planning and talent management as well as coordinate the contributions of key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation
  • Designing & implement the development of policies and procedures in collaboration with the Head of HR
  • Process and conduct employee satisfaction surveys as well as analyze results, develop statistical findings and follow-up the action plans

Learning and Development 

  • Identify training and development needs within an organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments.
  • Foster learning culture through providing management and interpersonal skills training programs for all company employees.
  • Create design and deliver developmental and organizational change training requirements for new and existing staff in both across all areas of the organization
  • Coordinate all branded trainings as well as all technical trainings
  • Create, control and conduct employee’s initiatives programs (e.g. Cross Exposure Training, Best Performing Employee, Best Innovative Idea, Talent Sharing, etc.)
  • Lead and conduct development of “Induction Program” for newly hired employees that include the basic background information of SMG and information needed to perform their jobs adequately.
  • Prepares learning budget and commits to it accordingly.
  • Establish & Manage SMG Academy, starting from project design to implementation phases.

Communication and corporate culture 

  • Manage all HR communications (HR announcements, Internal Facebook Page, LinkedIn Posts and all other communication boards)
  • Update and publish employee handbook on a regular basis
  • Develop corporate culture programs and initiatives

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Computer literate with Very good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Skilled in the use of accelerated learning techniques.
  • Holds a recognized training qualification / experience.
  • Experienced in design and delivery of training.
  • Experienced in the delivery of management development programs – Essential.
  • Ability to matrix manage project teams – Essential.
  • Excellent training skills – Essential.
  • Excellent Coaching Skills – Essential.
  • Excellent personal and time management skills – Essential.
  • MBA is a plus
