Job Description

Integration Developer will perform tasks and duties as follows:

Integration Development and Support

  • Development, implementation, and support of multipurpose integration platforms to address multiple use cases such as person data management (PDM), electronic data interchange (EDI), API management and application, data and process integration using various tools such as MuleSoft Boomi, Qlik, Informatica, SSIS, Talend, etc.
  • Create extensible API connectors for delivered PeopleSoft functionality and CSU customizations.
  • Support of multi-tenant platforms for diverse user groups, dashboards for developers, data scientists, business analysts, managers, and campus users.
  • Support of security logging and auditing.
  • Monitor message delivery and performance metrics.
  • Report and administration of integration.
  • Create efficiencies to handle large data volume.
  • Hands-on deployment, maintenance, and administration of integration processes between applications across cloud and/or on-premises using Dell Boomi AtomSphere platform (Cloud Integration, Application Integration, and Enterprise web services APIs).
  • Managing, Monitoring, Sustaining, Troubleshooting and supporting existing SOA Architecture.
  • Design Service-Oriented and discoverable Web services and APIs.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to define and determine integration requirements.
  • Contribute to evolving EAI and SOA vision by implementing methodologies and procedures conforming to standard patterns and practices.
  • Provide development team with EAI technical subject matter expertise and work with the team (Architects, other Tech Leads and Systems Analysts) to ensure development activities are aligned with scope, schedule, priority, and business objectives.
  • Responsible for establishing best practices in services development, integration of applications, and governing detailed designs generated by the vendors.
  • Mentor and motivate team members to provide outstanding support and continuously improve processes.
  • Monitor and report on progress in completing projects and accomplishing goals.
  • Proactively addresses potential and/or current integration challenges to meet or exceed established timelines and delivers service within budget constraints and seeks ways to reduce application related costs.
  • Drive the organization to improve data integrity for company-wide analytics.
  • Interface with both internal/external technical experts to drive system solutions.
  • Acquire and maintain a clear understanding of the technologies utilized in [Confidential Company] products, parts, and services.
  • Perform other related tasks as required All listed duties and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodation for additional tasks and responsibilities.
  • On-call responsibilities: The Technical Services team provides 24/7 production support, administered through a rotating on-call schedule. Staff is expected to respond to issues/problems/tasks off-hours and weekends during their assignment period.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

This position requires:

  • a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, experience with integration tools, as well as course work in the PeopleSoft HCM and Finance applications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with XML, JSON, and other flat file integrations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL, XSLT Development.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience developing and supporting Application Platform Integration (API) connectivity and multi-platform integrations using SOAP, RPC, REST, etc.
  • Proven recent technical end-to-end development on major projects and modifications. Proven ability to create new development unassisted based on functional specifications.
  • Excellent application implementation lifecycle skills, including experience with translating business requirements into technical designs, contributing to fit/gap analysis, application configurations, and technical specifications.
  • Creative problem solving / strategic thinking skills to improve processes and solve complex problems.
  • Strong understanding of best practice coding techniques and testing skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, debugging techniques, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and advanced verbal communication skills (including exceptional presentation skills, listening, mentoring, and collaboration abilities).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, take the initiative, and work well under pressure.
  • Must be flexible and able to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Aptitude and desire to be a "hands-on" contributor with attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills. Desire and willingness to learn and implement new technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer technical experience developing and supporting Enterprise Student, Finance, and HR applications.
