Job Description
- Develops and analyzes information to assess the current and future financial status of firms.
- Establishes procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities, in order to ensure safekeeping
- Evaluates data pertaining to costs in order to plan budgets.
- Evaluates financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities, and makes recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions.
- Oversees the flow of cash and financial instruments
- Supervising accounting, consolidation and closing activities related to accounts payable and inventory accounts to ensure accuracy of accounts
- Monthly closing of the books with its related tasks
- Performing financial reporting for accounts payable and inventory accounts to communicate financial position and results
- Supervising review of supplier invoices and processing of payment requests; monitoring payment processing system to ensure conformity to agreed terms of purchase and delivered quantities
- Supervising costing of products and items originating from suppliers
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of workers in branches, offices, or departments.
- Prepares financial and regulatory reports required by laws, regulations and boards of directors.
- Prepares operational and risk reports for management analysis
- Communicates with stockholders and other investors to provide information and to raise capital.
- Analyzes and classifies risks and investments to determine their potential impacts on companies.
- Recruits staff members, and oversees training programs.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to finance team to promote continuous development
- Reviews collection reports to determine the status of collections and the amounts of outstanding balances.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 15 years’ relevant experience in accounting.
- Working knowledge of Oracle.
- Previous experience mentoring, developing and leading team members
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to interact, communicate & influence effectively with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to prioritize a heavy workload and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Hands-on team player and with a can-do attitude
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to lead and work independently
- Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines and have a strong sense of accountability for managing results in accordance with assigned goals
