Job Description
- Receive Potential project data from the marketing and sales department (Specs, design drawing s and BOQ)
- Manage the technical office engineers for the assigned project
- Present technical and financial offer for the projects committee.
- Supervise the preparation of project plans and schedule.
- Study the project documents and prepare the Contractor's offer including quantity surveying, cost estimate...etc.
- Planning and maintaining project budget and schedules.
- Supervise the preparation of shop drawings.
- Resolve technical issues.
- Review the invoices (clients and subcontractors).
- Report on project progress until the successful handing over of the project.
- Participate in the project management review and risk management review.
- Ensure the engineering deliverable satisfy the construction requirements
- Participate in the required reports according to CTO (chief technical office manager )request.
- Prepare technical and material submitting.
- Study and prepare requests for information for various projects and follow up on subcontractor’s progress.
- Manage quantity surveying, payments and change orders.
- Follow up and review subcontractors' invoices.
- Follow up and record the invoices from the client.
- Follow-up with Procurement Department during negotiations and offer award or sub-contract terms, performance and payments for Subcontractors
Job Requirements
- Good understanding of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems
- General understanding of Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Experienced dealing with MEP subcontractors
- Have proven track record as a Project Manager on industrial related projects with large MEP scopes
- Time Management: understands and knows what tasks are more important than others and what needs to be solved immediately and what can wait; able to multi-task effectively; excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated and proactive: takes initiative and seeks responsibility
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills
- Project/Construction Management Experience
- Experience working for a General Contractor, or MEP Subcontractor preferred; and experience in construction estimating required
- Excellent knowledge in Primavera
- Attention to Details.
- Excellent technical experience.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- MEP Engineer background preferred.
- 10+ years of relative experience.
