As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations that contribute to our financial strategies and objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Collection and Analysis: - Extract and compile financial data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and financial software. - Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis. - Utilize statistical techniques to analyze and interpret financial trends, patterns, and anomalies. 2. Financial Reporting: - Develop and maintain regular financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders. - Prepare and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data into actionable insights. 3. Forecasting and Budgeting Support: - Collaborate with the Finance team to assist in the creation and management of financial forecasts and budgets. - Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and variance analysis. 4. Data Integrity and Quality: - Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data quality checks and collaborating with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies. - Implement best practices for data documentation, storage, and security in compliance with industry regulations. 5. Process Improvement: - Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance data-related processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy. - Propose and implement data-driven solutions to address financial challenges and improve decision-making. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Collaborate with various teams, including Accounting, Risk Management, and Operations, to gather data and insights for informed decision-making. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a finance-related role. - Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software (e.g., R, Python). - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create compelling visualizations. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. - Knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial modeling. - Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
