Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities at the GEST for Metals facility, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs for die-casting machinery and related equipment.
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the maintenance department.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing production output.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance measures to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and develop solutions to address root causes effectively, working closely with maintenance technicians to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory levels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and repairs, ensuring the timely completion of maintenance tasks and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices among maintenance team members.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in maintenance operations, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or supervision, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a strong background in die-casting machinery maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, with proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques specific to die-casting equipment.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance technicians effectively.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet production goals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement timely and effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement in maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
