Job Description
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and petty cash recording.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, bookkeeping, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments, to meet reporting deadlines.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Reconcile all payment methods to ensure that all revenue is properly collected.
- Reconcile all bank accounts on weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate recording of asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
- Provide financial guidance and support to retail store managers regarding daily transactions, cash handling, and expense control.
- Close intercompany transactions on a daily and monthly basis.
- Review and verify the accuracy, validity, and proper authorization of all payment requests.
- Record lease liabilities and prepaid rent accurately in the accounting system.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience.
- Experience in shared services is a plus.
- Experience in handling tasks in the KSA market is preferred.
- Retail experience is a must.
- Very strong communication skills.
- Excellent English, speaking and writing.
- High level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Very strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
