Job Description
- Demonstrates an understanding of savory flavors, yeast-based ingredients, their unique attributes, how and why they impart taste.
- Has developed great tasting products using e.g. flavors, herbs & spices, natural ingredients, to create a formulation for the end consumer
- Demonstrates development and manufacturing knowledge for wet and dry goods such as like chips and extruded snacks, noodles, sauces, and/or prepared meals areas
- Through experience have the ability to develop recipes and attributes for these products at bench level and to perform upscale trials that replicate the manufacturing process.
- Knowledge of savory application processes and processing equipment.
- Support customer demonstrations of new technology.
- Anticipate, investigate and resolve problems with application prototypes, applying new ingredients and technologies, flavor systems, and finished prototypes.
- Culinary experience and expertise, demonstrating culinary techniques, and creativity
- Ability to taste and discriminate sensory properties of flavors & applications
Job Requirements
- Has the ability to advance many projects simultaneously.
- Can prioritize projects and deliver successfully many under strict timelines
- Ensures appropriate documentation of experimental trials and outcomes to facilitate scale-up and product transfer to manufacturing.
- Builds further scientific knowledge through interactions with RDA managers and directors and/or academic experts, literature reviews, regulatory monitoring, and application studies
