Job Description

  • Direct the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the computing infrastructure that supports the company’s operations and business applications. 
  • Establish metrics for managing IT effectiveness and for measuring the impact of IT on the business.
  • Establish appropriate service levels and the processes to ensure that KPIs are met.
  • Maintain oversight of all IT projects, ensuring that commitments are properly planned, staffed, monitored and reported.
  • Establish a comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of relevant data.
  • Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, processes, portfolio management, development standards and methodologies.
  • Monitor the industry for developments in IT operations; evaluate and implement relevant new tools and service management frameworks.
  • Review, recommend, and oversee all vendors and managed service agreements for computing, telecommunications, IT services, and equipment.
  • Draft and follow up IT budget during the year to ensure not exceeding targets.
  • Develop department SOPs and ensure that it is updated with all new processes to ensure more effective work procedures.
  • Manage and supervise the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software
  • Negotiating with vendors and external service providers
  • Ensure effective performance of hardware and servers to ensure effective work cycle.
  • Ensure that all connections with the main server are working efficiently.
  • Ensure that the effectiveness of the performance of the applications to ensure smooth work operations.
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Assure Data security and scalability.
  • Ensure that all database on the system used are correct and ensure accurate reports and information.
  • Set priorities and ensure that the user requests are attainable through using the available systems and resources.
  • Ensure that all users receive the needed support from IT sector.
  • Ensure that systems and hardware security to ensure effective work operations.
  • Ensure that all IT resources are available and is working efficiently at current or new offices, branches or any other location.

People Management Responsibilities:

Performs all Management responsibilities to lead & Motivate own staff to ensure high morale and attainment of operational objectives by ensuring:

  • Ensure developing second and third line within department to ensure readiness of successors.
  • Employees have clear job objectives and challenging targets.
  • Employees receive appropriate coaching, learning & development.
  • Appropriate staffing of the department to ensure workload balance and high productivity.
  • Appropriate compensation and rewards, motivates and recognizes top performance based on actual performance and compliance with the company business conduct standards.
  • Maintains two-ways communication.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering.
  • 11 - 13 years experience (Minimum 3 years as IT Manager).
  • Extensive hands on experience in different systems (ERP – M3) and networks are more preferable and good understanding of other IT functions (Security, Software development…etc).
  • Knowledge of a range of vendor technology solutions; able to select and integrate the most appropriate technologies to support the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive approaches to cyber security and risk management.
  • Experience designing and managing an effective IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
  • Understands ITIL and other service management frameworks, and how to scale and implement them.
  • Knowledge of distribution business cycle is more preferable.
