Job Description
- Proactively maintaining and developing all infrastructure technologies related to Linux such as
Fault finding, analysis, and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions - Proactively monitoring Linux system performance and capacity planning
- Managing, coordinating, and implementing software upgrades, patches, hot fixes for all Linux
systems - Creating and modifying scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Collaborating with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and
deployment processes - Monitoring DB system performance and identifying problems that arise.
- Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
- Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of loss.
- Develop and maintain high availability solutions for company Data Bases
- Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
- Impalement DB security and encryption.
- Create shell scripts for task automation.
Job Requirements
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator and different DB platforms Administration
for 2+ years - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar relevant degree
- In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
- In depth knowledge of different Data Bases Platforms: MS SQL, MYSQL, MariaDB, Cassandra,
etc. - Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining services, such as Bind, Apache,
MySQL, nginx, and wildfly, etc. - Solid knowledge of protocols, such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
- Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
- Ability for working full-time in a remote environment
