Job Description

  • Maintenance and Repair:
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all mechanical equipment, including production lines, conveyors, presses, and hydraulic systems.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement repairs efficiently with continual update of preventive maintenance program to prevent the re-occurrence
    • Collaborate with maintenance technicians and other engineers to ensure smooth operation of NILEWOOD's plant.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems by Ensure proper functioning of pumps, valves, cylinders, and other hydraulic components.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization:
    • Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and safety.
    • Find alternative solutions or replacement for machine parts to contribute to cost efficient management of stock
    • Conduct root cause analysis of downtime events and propose solutions to prevent future occurrences to improve OEE of plant.
    • Measurement of preventive & predictive maintenance effectiveness and ensure continuous update.
  • Technical Support and Training:
    • Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel regarding mechanical equipment and processes.
    • Develop and improve -direct report technicians- their technical experience to improve
    • Develop and deliver training programs on proper operation and maintenance of equipment performance and promote the concept of basic conditions restoration.
    • Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the MDF industry and mechanical engineering field.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components (pumps, valves, cylinders, actuators).
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic equipment.
  • Proficient in using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and engineering analysis tools.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
