Job Description

What do we expect from you

Key accountabilities:

  • Prepare the annual academy business plan including targets such as: number of enrollments and retention to ensure the maximum utilization of the facility and prepare the plan for the needed resources for achieving the target including manpower plan, tools, consumables… and accordingly build the budget reflecting revenues, spending and CAPEX as applicable.
  • Track the budget and ensure meeting the target revenues and profitability.
  • Set the policies & procedures of the academy.
  • Set the operational plan to meet the approved target considering the seasonality factor
  • Ensure operational excellence delivered by the academy admins.
  • Ensure maintaining professional relationships with the federation of the relevant sport and compliance with their procedures through staying in communication with them to be updated with the latest standards, regulations and or events.
  • Ensure all required resources are available to avoid interrupting the operation.
  • Set the working schedules and leaves plan for the mentors.
  • Set the academy objectives and KPIs.
  • Own KODE sports philosophy within own academy through working closely with the Performance Center management and benefiting from the available expertise and the resources with regards to:
  • The execution of the set development program for the mentors and ensure they are on the right track to support them with their progression plan.
  • The same for the athletes.
  • Work personally on developing the development program(s) for both mentors/athletes specific to his/her sport and ensure achieving the targeted completion percentage.
  • Coordinate with the Sports Performance Excellence Manager and the Performance Coach Specialists with regards to the athletes Assessments and development.
  • Track the performance of the athletes ensuring achieving the relative progression KPIs
  • Coordinate with the Kids Orientation Program Leader the process and the timeline of the program relevant to own academy.
  • Communicate with the members’ complaints / inquiries if any and ensure they are attended to and closed as per the set SLAs.
  • Communicate with the Customer Experience team to receive their reports on the members’ feedback with regards to own academy related to coaches, programs, facility, resources…etc to always address areas of improvement.
  • Might participate in the workshops held in the Performance center for parents to co-facilitate or attend to questions in case needed.
  • Work with the Marketing and Events team for organizing special events promoting for own sport to maximize enrollment and retention rate.

People Management:

  • Ensure the whole team strictly abide by the set “Code of Conduct”.
  • Responsible for engraving KODE values within the team and ensure they are living these values.
  • Responsible for attracting, recruiting and retaining talents in collaboration with the People and Culture.
  • Ensure spreading a culture of collaboration among the team and avoid unhealthy competitive culture.
  • Set the individual objectives, targets and KPIs of the mentors and keep tracking their performance and coaching them to reach their potential and to offer an unparalleled experience to the parents and athletes.

Health and Safety:

  • Infuse the culture of safety and ensure the whole team and the athletes strictly adhere to the HSE instructions and regulations and will be responsible for any accidents that might occur within the academy facility or offices.
  • Ensure the team attend the Safety training done by the HSE department and keeping the records of their training.

Continuous improvement:

  • Staying up to date with trends related to own sport.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the team: mentors and admins to get their feedback or initiatives to better improve the academy and or the members experience.

Job Requirements

What do you need to perform your role:

To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:

Education and experience:

  • Graduate degree in relevant discipline.
  • Study in Sports Management is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in the same position.
  • Obtaining the Certifications related to the sport.
  • Certification in coaching and mentoring.
  • Proven successful records in leading sports and teams and own records as an athlete.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Up to date with best practices and trends in sports performance.
  • Always on the search for improvements and opportunities to bring all what’s new.
  • Basic knowledge in finance and budgeting.
  • Solid operations management skills.
  • Highly dynamic and agile.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill.
