Job Description

  • Ensure the clinical governance framework produces demonstrable benefits to patients and links to Andalusia’s goals to improve health services and quality of care.
  • Ensure that vision of each medical specialty& related services are adhered with overall Andalusia Hospitals, aligned together; inter and intra service & serve patient needs with their complementary services.
  • Demonstrate the implementation of the national legislative and mandatory quality improvement requirements as agreed& stated in Andalusia’s strategy.
  • Ensure we are identifying and sharing knowledge based on the key organizational priorities.
  • Ensure that all Egypt Hospitals& inter-departments work collaboratively, internally and with partners, to identify priorities for and approaches to quality improvement.
  • Ensure there is a scheme of reporting that supports transparency and public accountability including information formally required by the Ministry of Health.
  • Maintain local leadership arrangements that ensure the requirements of clinical governance are embedded in services and are in line with all related Andalusia’s policies.
  • Support in medical services development& improvement across Egypt’s BUs (medical assumptions not included).
  • Demonstrate ways of working that systematically improve the safety, effectiveness and person-centeredness of clinical care, practice and services including clear safety priorities and knowledge of the effectiveness of the improvement strategies.
  • Ensure that any emerging concerns over the quality and safety of care or services are recognized rapidly and escalated to ensure corporate awareness - thereafter each concern is fully reviewed and appropriate improvement plans are established, monitored and communicated.
  • Apply key clinical quality and clinical outcome measures in clinical& medical monitoring arrangements.
  • Support with the development of PROMs or other patient related measures.
  • Analyze highly complex clinical risk information and alert the top management team with rising trends and hotspots, suggesting viable options for reduction and/or correction.
  • Interpret and assess the relevance of national policy and guidance. Provide guidance and support to medical team regarding implementation and ensure effective systems for evaluation are developed.
  • Use analytical and sound clinical judgement skills in relation to analyzing data and when investigating and making recommendations following incidents arising for any of Egypt’s hospitals and patient complaints which may sometimes be complex in nature, making a sound diagnosis of the problem/s in relation to the incident/complaint utilizing a root cause analysis investigation approach.
  • Actively support, monitor and oversee the completion of action plans from any project or open investigation related to medical matters.
  • Plan and organize complex activities in relation to implementing the quality agenda, promoting a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to quality improvement.
  • Provide support to the development of care pathways- assisting with the development of the quality frameworks to support the pathway and the identification of KPIs to monitor the outcomes.
  • Ensure all risk related policies and clinical polices are regularly reviewed and disseminated appropriately.
  • Systematically review information systems that support the clinical quality/clinical governance agenda to ensure appropriate and timely information is collated.
  • Audit on patient files, medical process& the treatment management plan with best care practice possible either medical or nursing or pharmaceutical in coordination with the concerned department.

Job Requirements

  • Education
  • Bachelor of medicine and surgery,
  • Specialty (Nephrologist or ICU or PICU or NICU or ER or GS)
  • MD degree or Equivalent
  • Experience Min 4-5 years’ experience as a clinician.
  • Min 5 years’ experience as a medical manager in a reputable hospital. o Audit Experience in a well reputable hospital.
