Job Description

  • Strategic Planning: You will be responsible for developing and implementing a long-term HR strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Recruitment and Selection: You would be responsible for attracting, recruiting, and selecting qualified candidates for various job roles within the garment industry. This may include developing job descriptions, posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
  • Employee Onboarding: Once new employees are hired, you would be responsible for ensuring that they receive a comprehensive onboarding process that includes company policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Employee Relations: You would be responsible for managing employee relations and ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and equitably. This may include handling grievances, resolving conflicts, and conducting employee satisfaction surveys.
  • Performance Management: You will be responsible for developing and implementing a performance management system and managing employee performance, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Training and Development: You would be responsible for identifying training and development needs within the company and developing and implementing training programs to help employees improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Compensation and Benefits: You will be responsible for overseeing the company's compensation and benefits program, including salary structures, bonuses, and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and vacation time.
  • Employee Engagement: You would be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve employee engagement and morale, including employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and other initiatives.
  • Compliance: You will be responsible for ensuring that the company is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to employment, such as labor laws, health and safety regulations, and other industry-specific regulations.
  • HR Administration: You would be responsible for managing HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and managing employee leave.
  • Policy Development: You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies that are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Reporting: You will be responsible for producing reports that provide insights into the company's HR operations, including employee turnover, retention rates, and other relevant metrics.
  • Leadership: You will be responsible for leading a team of HR professionals.

 

Job Requirements

  • Education and experience: A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is often required, as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources management.
  • Certificates: SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP / SPHRI / CIPD highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations: Should have a strong understanding of labor laws and regulations, as well as knowledge of the garment industry-specific regulations.
  • Strong communication skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for an HR Manager in the garment industry, as they will be responsible for communicating with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills: Should have strong leadership skills, as they will be responsible for managing a team of HR professionals.
  • Analytical skills: Should have strong analytical skills, as they will be responsible for analyzing HR data and metrics to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Adaptability: The garment industry can be fast-paced and ever-changing, so an HR Manager should be able to adapt quickly to new situations and challenges.
  • Attention to detail: Should be detail-oriented, as they will be responsible for managing a range of complex HR tasks, such as payroll and benefits administration.
