Job Description
- Diligently maintain Majorel Egypt’s Data Protection Framework and underlying policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Ensure the company’s policy is in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Egypt DP law and codes of practice.
- Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issue.
- Take the lead on developing, maintaining and updating Data protection “GDPR” Program, performing the monthly audits on sites under the GDPR scope of work especially the global accounts.
- Thoroughly conduct and complete annual reviews and audits as required engaging both internal business partners across the organization and external resources.
- Devise training plans and provide data protection advice and support for members of staff.
- Promote a culture of data protection compliance across all units of the organization and ensure that the clean desk policy is 100% implemented.
- Provide expert advice and educate employees on important data compliance requirements
- Managing the data protection tool (one trust).
- Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Hold training with staff members across different business units who are involved in data handling or processing.
- Proactively conduct audits to ensure compliance and address potential issues.
- Maintain records of all data processing activities carried out by the company.
- Serve as the point of contact between the company and the data protection authorities.
Job Requirements
- University degree.
- 2-3+ years’ data protection role.
- Aware with GDPR and Egypt applicable data protection laws.
- Possess over the top problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of data privacy and protection.
- Be aware of, mitigate enterprise risk factors, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and Majorel Egypt policies and procedures.
- Be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as the job demands and travel as required.
