Job Overview:
A Director of Fulfillment is a logistics management professional who is responsible for leading all of a company’s operations related to order processing and fulfillment. Every step of the fulfillment process — including warehouse operations, inventory planning and tracking, quality control, staffing, procedural development, picking, packaging, and shipping — falls under the purview of this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting of E-Commerce fulfillment center operations in conjunction with corporate financial planning and E-Commerce business team
- Drive continuous improvement in speed of fulfillment through technology and CAPEX investment.
- Collaborate with E-Commerce business teams to identify and implement supply-chain solutions to improve service levels, enhance customer experience, develop new capabilities, and reduce costs
- Participates in and provides analysis for negotiations with fulfillment center vendors to maintain cost effective logistics rates and is responsible for submission and analysis of data which drives all carrier rate negotiations.
- Coordinate as a central point of contact for internal team and external stakeholder communication and escalation.
- Manage the daily operational flow and implement new processes to improve efficiency and
support scalability. - Manage the labor planning, inbound, outbound, returns and inventory operations, space
management, equipment maintenance and reliability, seller and vendor management,
transportation and logistics, safety, quality, colleague engagement, productivity, stakeholder
management, and peak planning and execution - Proactively establish and carry out shrinkage control disciplines and programs and accept a
high level of responsibility for fulfilment center's shrinkage performance, including returns
processing.
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a similar role
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in E-commerce in a related field and overall, more than 15 years of experience in managing big teams
- Strong experience in working as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve organization financial performance.
- Excellent analytical skills as well as strong business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
