Job Description
- Translating from Arabic into English and vice versa
- Managing the company’s internal language translation tools
- Comprehending the main functions of the company’s systems: ERPs, Web systems, Mobile Apps, etc.
- Editing, revising, clarifying and proofreading existing software texts, including: keys, labels and messages, previously done on a wide variety of contexts
- Liaising with system/product managers to ensure the proper text meaning whenever necessary
- Ensuring proper meanings and contexts are maintained when translating
- Working cooperatively with other stake holders such as developers and salespersons.
- Being able to find out proper terminologies for Accounting, Finance, HR, Production and other ERP modules and systems
- Improving text meaning when required, without losing the meaning of the original text
- Distributing tasks to subordinates, and following up progress, and evaluating subordinates
- Supervising subordinates
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s (BSc) Degree in languages and translation or in a related field
- Excellent skills in technical translations
- Excellent command of grammar in English
- Excellent research skills in English
- Detail orientation with multi-task ability
- Able to express complex technical concepts/terminologies using clear and concise natural language
- Excellent knowledge of translation and editing techniques and familiarity with software technical terms
- A clear writing style with an impeccable knowledge of spelling and grammar
- Accuracy, punctuality and confidentiality
- Managerial skills and ability to supervise subordinates and distribute tasks
