Senior Manager Technical Lease Management & Aircraft Transfers

Synopsis

To lead the technical management of aircraft leases during the asset lifecycle and their lease term.  This entails the review of agreements at the onset, the continuous management of technical parameters with regards to their lease conditions during the lease term and delivering the final project management to exit aircraft out of Etihad’s fleet by means of an end of lease return, sales or part out.

Accountabilities

• Lead the function of Technical Aircraft Lease Management & Aircraft Transfers by developing its associated programmes and ensure the execution of the projects and action plans.
• Build, create, implement, and manage processes, procedures, and an information system to manage aircraft leases during the lease term and ensure that variations are registered, monitored and visualised with respect to the required lease standards.
• Responsible for the translation of aircraft lease agreements into technical relevant parameters and qualifying maintenance events to ensure lease conditions are managed, monitored and reviewed at (i) regular intervals and (ii) event based.
• Responsible to determine the return and delivery conditions and technical financial parameters during aircraft returns or exits and ensure effective project management on the execution and reporting back on the progress, risks and issues.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure that the requirements for aircraft lease management, transfer or sale are considered during contract negotiations.
• Relationship management between key stakeholders during aircraft lease management and transfer/exit projects such as aircraft and engine manufacturers, vendors, 3rd party maintenance providers, consultants, lessor representatives, and all internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain up to date the departmental manuals (TPMs & Technical’s Asset Management Policy) to ensure compliance with regulators’ and organisational requirements.
• Lead and develop a team of experts and project managers and ensure internal talents are developed by means of coaching, mentoring and exposure to new subjects and projects.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification or experience (min. 10 years)
• Experience & tracked record in lease management, large aircraft EIS and/or transfer projects and/or technical contract management functions.
• Strategic & tactical thinking, analytical mind and cost management experience are required.
• Ability to create conceptual thinking and apply in system & process improvement.
• Strong business acumen, commercial & business negotiation skills and an effective relationship builder which is excellent at stakeholder management.
• People’s focused person with ability to lead, organise and guide operational teams and set a high performing team culture.
