Job Description
- Full knowledge of Microsoft SQL database servers,
- Master skills of database administration (DBA) in terms of backup, restore, recovery, archiving, configuration of high availability, disaster recovery sites, data replication, integration with LDAP, etc.,
- Ability to manage multiple instances of the database across multiple environments (dev, test, product, training, disaster recovery, etc.),
- Ability to install, configure and manage cluster environment,
- Ability to install patches, hotfixes, upgrades to existing databases,
- Ability to utilize monitoring tools for databases monitoring,
- Ability to tune performance and enhance SQL statements and procedures through building indices, partitions, execution plans, etc.,
- Full understanding of extended tools of MS SQL like SSIS, and reporting servers,
- Ability to trace errors and resolve them,
- Ability to apply MS SQL servers best practices security procedures,
- Ability to understand procedures coding and any code accessing the database in order to support fixes and performance tuning,
- Familiarity with Postgres SQL is highly preferred to carry out DBA activities on it as well.
- Keep up to date on the newest technological innovations in the field and be ready to apply relevant innovations to our software systems
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree of any relevant field,
- MS SQL database certifications in administration. Development certifications are highly preferred to be added,
- At least 5 years in DBA role,
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server (including AlwaysOn)
- Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory,
- Fully familiar with PostgresSQL on AWS is highly preferred in addition to strong knowledge of MS SQ
- Ready to learn new technologies suitable for the company products.
