Job Description
- Follow up on external shipments with forwarders, clearing agents, insurance brokers and suppliers on all issues related to shipments.
- Follow up containers loading process in order to prepare final shipping documents (Commercial invoice, packing list, final shipping declaration) to submit to custom broker / custom authority to finish custom clearance procedures.
- Prepare and update the shipping plan on weekly basis with freight forwarders, prepare and send shipment (invoice, packing list, preliminary shipping declaration) in order to arrange to get the shipping orders (booking) and arrange bringing containers on time.
- Revising all shipping documents drafts before final issuance to insure the compliance to the purchase order.
- Effectively follows up internally with various teams & departments and externally with forwarders, clearing agents, and insurance brokers on all issues related to shipment delays, in order to ensure smooth provision of services.
- Assists in Identifies and proposes improvements of procedures and reports in own area to support the ongoing development of Logistics standards.
- Collects processes and maintains accurate data related to Logistics activities in order to ensure that statistics are established.
- Ensures current Logistics policies and procedures are in compliance; Develops and maintains good working relationships with suppliers and other external agencies in order to ensure prompt resolution of issues and provision of high Logistics service levels.
- Compares Logistics cost between forwarders for his/her country market and highlights feedback to the Direct Manager to select the best services and cost in alignment with the corporate strategy.
- Ensure that all Import/export documented correctly and in the right form.
- Provide applicable Import documentation needed by each country of destination.
- Ensure that import laws and regulations for export consignments comply with the Egyptian customs standards.
- Ensure efficient service to the business by setting work objectives and schedules for specific Logistics operations.
- Identify procedures and reports related to the assigned projects, suggesting improvements in order to support the ongoing development of Logistics standards.
- Ensure logistics policies and procedures are in adherence to identified legal requirements & regulations.
- Awareness of current import execute regulations and Customs Tariff.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics.
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Excellent command of English speaking & writing.
- Well-motivated and can work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent reporting skills.
