Job Description
OVERVIEW
The Student Affairs and Ministry Liaison Officer provides first-line customer service for the Student Affairs and Administration Office. Additionally, this would require a significant role in liaising with the Ministry offices in terms of processing work visa/residence permits of employees, liaising with the MOE in matters relating to student and staff affairs.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Affairs
- Provides quality customer service to students, staff, parents and other stakeholders.
- Exhibits a high level of knowledge and understanding of all student affairs functions and campus resources.
- Provide support and manage communication flow for students in the application process.
- Leads, coordinates and supports student affairs office activities and initiatives.
- Prepares, maintains, and coordinates administrative reports required by the MOE.
- Ensure confidentiality of school records and safeguard classified information.
- Ensure that documents are submitted to the Ministry offices on time & to follow-up & ensure all work is actually finished on time.
Ministry Liaison
- Responsible for dealing and coordinating with the Ministry of Education and other government offices in relation to MOE and other school-related transactions.
- Responsible for school license, Ministry of Health license, and clinic license application and timely renewal.
- Responsible for processing the employee's teaching permit, work permit and residence permit as well as the application for renewal.
- Ensure that all government-related transactions relating to school operations are being processed in coordination with the Executive Head.
- Develop and establish a good relationship and network between the school and government contacts.
- Provide guidance and advice on the latest Ministry regulations that impact the school.
Job Requirements
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of MOE transactions.
- Fluent in English and Arabic communication, both oral and written.
- Proficient with typing, administrative writing and documentation.
- Proficient in translating Arabic to English and vice versa.
- Good interpersonal, communication and effective time management skills.
- The constant drive for the achievement of improved standards of performance and quality.
- The high degree of integrity and impartiality.
- Behavioural skills – self-motivated, adaptable, flexible, systematic, analytical, detail oriented and strong team spirit.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or any other equivalent qualification with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of MOE, Ministry of Labour and Immigration Laws
