Job Description
- Create a Raw Materials schedule Plan based on Production schedule.
- Revise the forecast orders and firmed sales order with the Planning SH of Finished goods to determine the Requirements of Raw Materials department.
- Maintain a valid Raw Materials and capacity requirements plan that supports the production schedule.
- Monitor the execution of Raw Materials plan and resolve any potential issues.
- Ensure that the Raw Materials deliveries are performed on time via purchasing department.
- Monitor the consuming of the raw materials on daily basis, follow up the raw materials consumptions rates.
- Manage the schedule in and schedule out process of Raw Materials according to the production orders requirements.
- Ensure a consistent handoff of planning information to the production department and Finished Goods section head to take the necessary action based on the information if required.
- Investigate the Raw Materials Purchasing issues and production problem, analyze root causes and provide solutions
- Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team and Purchasing team, co-ordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues.
- Establish and monitor ERP system parameters, including safety stock levels for Raw material inventories.
- Assist all the new product development and improvement in all existing products with the concerning departments and ensure optimal Raw Materials inventory level at all times.
- Revise The Raw Materials Plan based on the production schedules when required due to design changes, material shortages, backlogs and collaborating with management, Purchasing and production departments
- Supervise of inventory stock levels.
- Assist Purchasing department to Identify new suppliers and manage existing suppliers to meet production needs.
- Communicate Raw Materials status to the Purchasing, planning, Sales and Production Managers on regular basis.
- Ensure that the KPIs of the planning department achieved
- Other responsibilities and account abilities as assigned by the Operations Director and Planning Manager.
- Create reports and statistics regularly (daily, monthly, and annual).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Operations Management diploma
- Experience: in a technical field at least 5-7 years of experience
- Knowledge of Intuitive ERP, or other MRP/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of configuration control.
- Experience working within an ISO quality plan is an asset.
- Strong planning, organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others, has exceptional interpersonal-communication skills.
- Understanding of and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
