Job Description
- Handle databases’ software evaluation with alignment to business strategic directions and future needs, as well as the future technological insights.
- Support the organization in developing, operating and managing large and sophisticated enterprise database environments.
- Configure, administrate, and maintain Oracle and SQL server databases, including backup, restore and purge activities.
- Handle supervision of modifications to existing Oracle and SQL server databases to meet the needs of data growth.
- Draw on past experience to identify issues and spot potential database performance problems, and apply the required precautions.
- Communicate internally and apply audit to the newly developed code by multiple application development team(s) to enhance and ensure high standards databases performance.
- Communicate externally with Oracle and SQL server service support.
- Update and maintain databases structure and performance measurements documentation.
- Responsible for databases upgrades, performance monitoring, installations, managing replications, diagnosing system problems, create database job and tuning procedures, disaster recovery testing and maintaining user accessibility.
- Negotiate technical scopes for the needed databases’ license, and approve BOQs form technical perspectives.
- Act quickly and decisively in any database related crises or time-sensitive situations.
- Frequently provide the management with performance reports.
- Resolve complex issues involving database performance, database capacity, resiliency, stability, replication, and other key aspects of distributed database technology.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Computer science or a relevant field.
- 4+ years of experience.
- Hands-on experience and knowledge in Oracle 12C and SQL server 2019.
- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) is a plus.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills (listening, questioning, challenging etc.)
- Strong result oriented and customer focused mentality.
- Excellent communication skills.
