Job Description
- Support the Warehouse Manager in the implementation of sound warehouse practices including but not limited to the management of material receipts and dispatches.
- Maintain high standard of cleanliness and maintenance of warehouse; ensure that the warehouse is clean and neat at all times, and organize general cleaning (roof, walls, between and under the stacks).
- Make sure all mandatory warehouse items and equipment are available in the warehouse, and are in good working condition, including fire extinguishers, cleaning supplies, and first aid supplies.
- Track all materials received, by checking the trucks on arrival at the warehouse and counting materials, first on the truck and during offloading into the warehouse, and taking note of any shortages, damages or excess.
- Sort the received items and organize them to determine the storage location of each item and direct shelf stacking to ensure their proper storage, and then entering the received items on the system.
- Ensure that materials entering or leaving the warehouse have all the necessary relevant paperwork.
- Ensure that the driver receiving outgoing materials signs all relevant paperwork prior to leaving the warehouse premises.
- In consultation with the warehouse manager arrange for periodical physical stock count and ensure recording available physical stocks and any differences.
- Comply to safety, health and operational quality standards mandated by the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3– 5Years of experience in Warehousing, at least 3 years in the same position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Previous Experience using Warehouse/Inventory Management Software is a plus
