Job Description

  • Ensures all employees organization-wide across all functions and locations are enabled to achieve their daily jobs through access to reliable technology, this includes but is not limited to:
    1. Everything related to the network infrastructure including but not limited to: internet connectivity, telecom infrastructure, security and firewalls, physical servers & virtualization.
    2. Everything related to systems infrastructure including but not limited to: operating system, communication and collaboration platform, ticketing systems and call centers.
    3. Everything data center related, cloud infrastructure hands on experience, as well as, hybrid cloud infrastructure.
    4. Hardware and other systems such as CCTV, access control, POS machines.
    5. Everything applications related whether ERP, intranet or other specialized software that is implemented or developed.
  • Possess solid understanding and experience in enterprise-scale applications selection, implementation, integrations and user adoption challenges.
  • Supports Carina’s expansion plans and is able to bring himself/herself up to speed to the knowledge needed in the new domain (if any).
  • Leads first line support services to ensure end-user’s satisfaction, high availability, problem resolution and effective technical assistance, via phone, email and in person.
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical hardware and software issues and faults, and advises users on appropriate action and proper use precautions.
  • Manages relationships with partners and vendors to ensure proper support and business prioritization during presales, implementation and post sales phases.
  • Leads and manages IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
  • Is capable of designing modern infrastructure in accordance to best practices, industry norms in an agile, cost creative fashion.
  • Works closely with Chief Digital & Technology Officer to deliver on the technology plan of the company by implementing IT initiatives and systems on time and within budget, while keeping all stakeholders updated on progress and risks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or related fields
  • 15+ years of IT experience
  • Experience in retail is essential
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 is a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) 
  • An engaged team leader who leads by example and a team player who does not take no for an answer 
  • Creative and proactive problem solver 
  • Troubleshooting analytical and diagnostic skills 
  • Lateral thinker
