Job Description
- Develop mechanical system designs for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure that mechanical system designs meet client needs, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Create accurate and detailed mechanical system design documents, such as shop drawings, specifications, and contracts, to ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during the construction process to ensure that mechanical systems are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure that mechanical system designs meet all safety and environmental regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, materials, and design techniques to improve project quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure that mechanical system design work is completed on time and within budget.
- Review and approve mechanical system design documents, such as shop drawings, specifications, and contracts, to ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Managing and maintaining project documentation and records.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical system design principles, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in engineering software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, HAP, Elite software, Firefighting software, ASHRAE duct fitting -And BIM.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
