Job Description

  • Responsible for managing the company's procurement activities and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
    Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible pricing and favorable terms for the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of goods and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory management team to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages.
  • Review purchase requests and determine the appropriate procurement method (e.g., RFQ, RFP, competitive bidding) based on company policies and requirements.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
    Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as production, logistics, and finance, to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and market trends.
    Monitor and assess supplier performance based on key metrics, such as quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as supplier consolidation, volume discounts, and strategic sourcing strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to purchasing and procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a purchasing or procurement specialist, preferably in a similar industry.
    In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management techniques.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess supplier capabilities, pricing structures, and contract terms.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and systems for purchase order creation, supplier evaluation, and inventory management.
  • Solid understanding of contract management and ability to review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, conduct supplier assessments, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement projects and deadlines.
    Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
