Job Description

  • Develop the sector/function/business unit strategy in line with strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing strategies across 
  • Develop actions plans to achieve strategies and related strategic plans .
  • Oversee the consolidation and recommend the Planning & Organization Performance sector/function/business unit budget 
  • Monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of sector/function/business unit policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of sector /business unit activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers .
  • Working closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team, and other stakeholders, to deliver a review and impact evaluation  Strategy, using both qualitative and quantitative measures of success. 
  • Conduct analysis of the company’s current state versus the desired strategic objective state to reach performance gaps, (GAP concept) per department
  •  Develop action plan with the senior management to overcome these gaps and reach the desired targets & performance.
  • Working closely with the Senior Management Team to develop and take ownership of an operational planning cycle that aligns with strategic framework and plans.
  •  Ensure that these plans can be ambitious but realistic, measurable, affordable and build a culture of clearer prioritization and accountability. 
  • Work with the CFO & Finance team to ensure alignment between operational plans and budgets, and ensure resource dependencies can be clearly identified. 
  • Work with the senior management and concerned departments to establish documentation and communication processes so that staff and other stakeholders can understand and contribute effectively to strategic and operational planning. 
  • Use own knowledge and experience of how strategic and operational plans should successfully align to contribute to the development new strategic framework.
  • Design and maintain organizations balanced scorecards to measure the departments performance & progress required. 
  • Produce and present regular performance reports and metrics for the Senior Management, including significant involvement in the production of the organization’s quarter & Annual Review  
  • Participate in the design and implement improved processes for performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting against strategic and operational plans that enable to scrutinize, and provide evidence for, its impact and effectiveness; and ensure its strategic decision-making is informed by evidence.  
  • Align monitoring and evaluation processes with ongoing organizational initiatives (e.g., the new ‘theory of change’ evaluation framework for Knowledge Translation activities).
  • Work with the “PMO” to establish project and portfolio management processes and tools for achieving operational plans.  
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required in line with skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Ensure that all concerned reports of  Planning & Organization Performance are prepared timely and accurately and meet requirements, policies and standards 
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Planning & Organization Performance sector/function/business unit to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Job Requirements

  •  Bachelor's Degree in any discipline 
  •  MBA preferred Training/certification PMP / KPI’s  
  • Experience: 15+ Experience in a similar cross-functional role, or in project or program management, preferably in an international organization.  
  • Experience of developing and managing the implementation of Organization planning, Departmental performance and evaluation processes, and of developing performance indicators and results frameworks
