Job Description

  • We are looking for a motivated purchasing specialist to manage our company's procurement activities. The purchasing specialist's responsibilities include sourcing new suppliers, ensuring that the purchased products and materials meet specific technical specifications, negotiating purchase terms, and evaluating supplier performance. The purchasing specialist will also be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any supply issues or discrepancies.
  • To be successful as a purchasing specialist, you should be able to develop efficient procurement solutions and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. Ultimately, an outstanding purchasing specialist should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be an analytical thinker, and demonstrate a good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Receive the purchasing requests (PRs) from various departments.
  • Issue purchase orders and execute the purchasing process according to the approved purchase requests.
  • Send Po’s to Purchasing department to get the best offers according to the required specifications.
  • Record submitted Offers at ERP system to be revised by the requested department and to select a specific vendor.
  • Create purchase orders based on the required specifications and the selected vendor.
  • Obtain logistic manager final approval to ensure inventory status.
  • Send approved Po’s to suppliers.
  • Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.
  • Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.
  • Purchasing all company needs either in the internal use for the company or for the department external selling like (network equipment’s or other services we provide customer the Company portfolio).
  • Getting quotations & choose the best supplier offering best price & terms of payment

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as a purchasing specialist or in a similar role.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, FMCG or Food production.
  • Able to use ERP system.
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
  • Team player with strong organizational skills.
