Job Description
- Review and approve individual treatment plans proposed by attending physicians
- Ensure treatment plans are evidence-based and align with national or international clinical
guidelines and within the project SOPs - Evaluate medical histories, diagnostic reports, and current medical conditions to validate
treatment approaches. - Review patient medical records, clinical notes, and diagnostic results to ensure accuracy and
completeness. - Ensure that all necessary medical documentation is properly signed, dated, and stored according
to Project protocols. - Review and approve prescriptions for patients, ensuring that medications are appropriate, safe,
and in accordance with medical guidelines. - Approve prescription refills and follow-up treatment plans as required.
- Participate in regular audits of medical practices to identify areas of improvement and
compliance issues. - Offer mentorship and clinical advice to ensure that all staff members adhere to best practice
standards. - Provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations for clinical staff when needed.
- Ensure proper reporting and documentation of adverse events or complications.
- Referral of the approved services to the service providers according to SOPs of the project.
- Any additional tasks related to the project and position.
Job Requirements
- A recognized medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent).
- Typically, 2+ years of clinical experience in approval positions, with demonstrated
expertise in patient care and medical decision-making. - Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare
staff, patients, and administrative teams. - Ability to mentor and guide junior staff, as well as collaborate effectively with
multidisciplinary teams. - Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing medical documentation and treatment plans.
- Sufficient knowledge in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel)
