Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our Solids Control team. As an Electrician in Solids Control, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and control panels on solids control equipment used at drilling sites. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment critical to the drilling process.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical components and control systems of solids control equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, including motor failures, wiring problems, and control panel malfunctions. Execute timely and effective repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Installation and Setup:
Assist in the installation and setup of electrical systems and control panels on solids control equipment. Ensure proper wiring and connections for safe and efficient operation. Collaborate with the operations team to verify equipment functionality.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety protocols. Participate in safety training and promote a safety-conscious culture among team members. Conduct safety inspections of electrical equipment and report any hazards or concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repairs. Document equipment modifications and improvements. Provide clear and concise reports on electrical system performance.
Collaboration and Training:
Collaborate with the solids control team to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall operation. Provide guidance and training to operators on basic electrical troubleshooting and safety practices. Assist in coordinating the work of electrical contractors when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Electrical certification or diploma is preferred. Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a field related to heavy equipment or industrial operations. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motor controls, wiring, and instrumentation. Familiarity with solids control equipment and drilling processes is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in challenging and remote environments.
