Job Description

Job Summary

General Accountant will be responsible for all daily accounting tasks, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, preparing tax documents and updating expense files. You will perform financial transactions and post them in the general ledger, with strong attention to detail. You will also carry out relevant administrative duties (e.g. responding to clients via email and handling invoices). Ultimately, you will ensure the company’s finances run smoothly.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients

Accounts Payable:

  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • - Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.

TAX Payments:

  • Prepare tax payments
  • Estimate and track tax returns
  • Organize and update the company’s tax database
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns

Payroll:

  • Calculate net salaries considering deductions and withholdings by ensuring that payroll and tax documents are accurate
  • Update general ledger and payroll files through ensuring compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes
  • Participate in payroll audits

General administration:

  • Record all Financial & Accounting data such as AR/AP/Payroll/TAX, etc. on the accounting system to support decision-making.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Finance Manager to review weekly/ daily/ monthly sales activities, and progress on goals.

Job Requirements

Educational & Licenses:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field

Experience Required:

  • Experience 1 to 3 years
  • Preferable:
    • Basic understanding of payroll AR/PR/TAX accountant role
    • Basic understanding of local and governmental rules about payroll

Computer skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Preferred ERP experience

Interpersonal skills:

  • Communication & Presentation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • High analytical ability
