Software Testing Engineer/Specialist

We are hiring a Software Testing Engineer/Specialist to work with our offshore development team in Cairo who is working in a major software development project serving one of our major US-based clients.  The candidate should be a results-driven software tester to be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. The software tester will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations to the design team. He/she may also interact with clients in order to understand the requirements of the product.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the product design team to determine product testing parameters.
• Writing test plans and creating test cases for the product.
• Conducting quality assurance and designing performance tests using the new testing procedures.
• Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures.
• Writing up the final QA and test procedures for the quality technicians.
• Training the quality assurance staff and providing technical support when needed.
• Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
• Preparing test reports for management.
• Conduct application performance tests
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
