Key Activities
Budgeting
- Assist the Manager of Information Technology in preparation of the annual budget and provide inputs during the year for optimizing IT spend of the organization
- Propose solutions to decrease cost or increase profit through IT systems
- Policies and Procedures Development
- Recommend changes / improvements to processes or systems
- Prepare of processes and protocols for applications development, support and integration
- Implement web applications or portals and customized to the company's requirements
- Follow the ITIL processes
Customers
- Analyze and understand business processes and user needs to ensure provision of integrated IT solutions that meet user requirements
- Lead and participate in evaluating the selection of any software or IT system in the organization
- Provide inputs to design and implement solutions to serve internal customers' needs and take ownership of future enhancements
- Understand the business to help all function to provide better services to the company customers using IT means
- Work with line management and key users in furthering their understanding of effective usage of available IT solutions to increase productivity
Operational Management
- Design and implement the solution or coordinate with vendors for the same
- Assist the Manager of Information Technology in the implementation of software / applications customized to the company's requirements
- Keep and update documentation and contracts for all applications and systems implemented in the organization
- Oversee database related activities for smooth working of function relation applications (ERP, CRM, Customized applications) and ensure security of data and availability of systems as per the SLAs
- Manage IT application service providers, who deliver services to THE COMPANY, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables conform to THE COMPANY ’s cost and quality considerations
- Keep informed of and participate in regional and international initiatives in the IT field to identify opportunities for enhancement of THE COMPANY IT capabilities
Reporting
- Maintain IT solution performance standards and periodically report on these
People Management - Generate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm for the Business Application section and the company as a whole
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Business Application
- Plan, manage and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development opportunities and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary
- Provide opportunities for the Business Application section members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives
- Ensure the Business Application section complies with THE COMPANY ’s policies, processes, practices and systems, and maintains THE COMPANY ’s high standard of work and work ethic
Job Requirements
Qualifications/requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering
Certification
- PMP certification is preferable
- Oracle E-business suit certification is a must
Knowledge & Experience
- A minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience with at least 3 years of experience in Application Development
- Experience in Engineering sector (Energy/Oil & Gas is highly preferred)
- Fluent in Arabic and English
