Job Description
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
- Install, patch, upgrade, configure, tune and maintain the Oracle E-business Suite 12i and 11g/12c Oracle databases.
- Monitoring the application related products like oacore,oafm apache etc.
- Bouncing apache,oacore,oafm if needed
- Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.
- Take care of the Database design and implementation.
- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
- Work as part of a team and provide 24×7 support when required.
- Participate in system administration and operational support (e.g., maintenance and support, reviewing and analyzing system logs and problem reports, adds, changes, backups, and file restores) and assist in monitoring of the system's performance and capacity planning.
- Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
- Patch Management and Version Control.
- Analyze performance issues in the application, concurrent manager and database tiers of E-Business Suite installations.
- Manage resources to provide assistance to development teams with tuning database queries, reviewing and testing patches, configuration and code migrations.
- Develop purging, archiving, and cloning strategies.
- Cloning DEV and TEST from PROD.
- Provide high quality consulting services to existing clients and contribute to business development activities in the area of Oracle ERP, including database and system administration duties.
- Provide technical solutions regarding data migration and data mapping, end to end planning and delivery of all data migration within the program, including extracting data from legacy systems and running data load routines and performing basic reconciliations.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferably computer related).
- Oracle Apps DBA certified.
- 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in software technology as well as working in an IT implementation project.
- Minimum 7 years of experience working with Oracle database/system administration, Oracle EBS R12 Financials, APPS interfaces & API’s, and Unix/Linux Shell scripts, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience working in a services / software organization with practical experience in software development life cycle of full integrated solutions.
- Experience in Oracle tools like PLSQL, Forms, Reports, OAF, SQL Plus, SQL loader, Workflow, XMLP, and AOL.
