Job Description

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments, to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to support annual audits and tax filings.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, including training, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and human resources, to support cross-functional initiatives and strategic planning.
  •  Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, and ensure that the organization's accounting practices remain in compliance.
  • Participate in the implementation or enhancement of accounting systems and software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role preferably within construction and Import industries.
  •  Strong knowledge of IFRS, and other accounting standards.
  •  ERP is a must (Odoo preferred)
  •  In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and standards
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, large data sets, databases, MS Office and financial applications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent English and Arabic – reading & writing.
