Job Description
- Participate in surveys or RFQ evaluations to understand project requirements
- Assist the Engineering Manager in the preparation of budgets.
- Sending requests for quotation, RFQ to electrical subcontractors (evaluating bids and tracking work done on projects).
- Understand TBTD requirements from a technical, schedule and budget perspective.
- Review / Prepare update single line drawings to meet project specifications, as required.
- Writing technical documentation for the various projects and maintenance departments.
- Jointly with Consultant prepare and evaluate bids, offers, quotations for projects based on submitted requirements and make recommendations
- Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure that issued drawings correspond to the requirements.
- Coordinate procurement of electrical equipment and components and ensure prompt delivery, (as required).
- monitor project progress to ensure schedule and budget targets are met) Submit weekly findings report to the Engineering manager)
- Prepare a project summary upon project completion to be reviewed with the Engineering Manager
- Coordinate the work of electrical subcontractors during installation or advise project Engineers on electrical work coordination.
- Participate in TBTD, Consultant, Contractor meetings and resolve any potential project issues as needed.
- Carry out site visits and liaise with the concerned parties to ensure that technical requirements are followed.
- Prepare reports following the visits (as required).
- Prepare the various maintenance procedures, work instructions, forms, schedules for all sites / projects (as required).
- Assist the maintenance team with electrical requirements / solutions, (as required).
- Carry out any other delegated tasks by the Engineering manager or Head of Engineering.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience working in the electrical engineering field
Good knowledge of Electrical regulations, standards and codes.
Good understanding of electrical requirements.
Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD, ……etc. programs
Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Good knowledge of Classification of the electrical requirements.
Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in electrical and fire protection field is a must and having project design / installation / maintenance experience.
