About The Job:
We are looking for a competent Procurement and Logistics Specialist to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company.
A great asset for a Procurement and Logistics Specialists is their communication and negotiation skills. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices.
The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Shipments: Ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipments from the port/airport of departure to the port/airport of destination in Egypt.
- Document Preparation: Collaborate with the accounting department to prepare required clearance documents (form 4) using bank details.
- Clearance Process: Handle the clearance process by preparing and sending all necessary documents to the broker for shipment clearance upon arrival.
- Broker Communication: Maintain communication with brokers to ensure prompt clearance, pick-up, and delivery of shipments from customs to the warehouse.
- Document Review: Verify customs certificates against supplier documents before releasing shipments and settling customs duties fees.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of all logistics services and processes.
- Rate and Service Negotiation: Contact shipping lines, freight forwarders, marine insurance, and custom brokers to secure the best rates and services.
- Shipping Documentation: Draft and review complete sets of shipping documents.
- Customs Clearance: Ensure proper customs clearance for all export shipments.
- Shipment Tracking: Regularly track vessels/trucks to ensure shipments are delivered as planned.
- Invoice Review: Review logistics invoices/claims and submit them to accounting on time.
- Records Monitoring: Control and monitor records of the temporary admission customs system.
- Pipeline Shipments: Track and report all pipeline shipments.
- Shipment Clearing: Clear LCL and FCL shipments from the port promptly.
- Transportation Follow-Up: Follow up on transportation from port to plant.
- Shipment Booking: Book all required shipments for import/Export.
- Document Verification: Review and confirm all importing documents (invoices, packing list, COO, COA, BL, etc.).
Job Requirements
- Excellent Knowledge of related laws & regulations.
- Proven experience in the field of chemicals manufacturing is Preferable
- Bachelors degree (Preferably: in the field of Chemistry) .
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well organized with very high attention to details .
- MS Office-savvy
