Job Description
- Design creative ways of delivering lessons to a 16 year old child with Down Syndrome.
- Deliver instruction to a child with Down Syndrome on a 1:1 basis while maintaining a healthy and productive session.
- Shadow and support a child with Down Syndrome during their classes at school.
- Deliver and articulate oral presentations and written reports.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, staff, administration and the general public.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or certification in education, child psychology or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching of students with disabilities
- Problem solving and an analytical way of thinking
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Hard working.
- Efficient and has good time management skills. Must have the proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
- Excellent coaching skills.
- Creative and organized.
- A high standard of personal ethics.
- Own a car and a valid driver’s license.
