Job Description

Under the overall supervision of the Head of Public Projects Sector 

  • Responsible to manage the implementation of the projects including the selection process, proposals evaluation, contracting, implementation support
  • Support the development and updating the operational manuals and guidelines for the improving public projects sector.
  • Participate in monitoring the implementation of projects through field visits to the governorates.
  • Participate in evaluating project proposals and ensuring their suitability for financing terms.
  • Review the monthly financial and technical reports submitted by the project management units and coordinate with MSMEDA branches to ensure the validity of the data contained therein.
  • Review project data entered by project management units on the computerized MIS and ensure their compatibility with monthly reports.
  • Transferring project financing installments after ensuring that they fulfilled the pre-conditions for each installment.
  • Develop and execute all the technical and financial periodical reports
  • Prepare short policy and results briefs to ensure lessons learned from the projects 
  • Assist in preparing and designing the operational plans including the objectives and strategies taken and the needed resources to implement these plans
  • Monitor the internal and external audit comments and remarks and ensure that correction actions have been taken.
  • Assist in the technical support to improve the executing agencies performance including guidance and training
  • Any other duties related to the job

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture.
  • Minimum of 7 years' total experience in planning and executing infrastructure projects.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in managing development projects.
  • Familiarity with the procedures and regulations for tenders and procurement in accordance with Egyptian laws and regulations, preferably those with knowledge of contracting procedures for donors.
  • Ability of problem solving
  • Work under pressure and in a work group
  • Communication skills
  • Writing and presentation skills
  • Responsible and can work under pressure
  • Excellent knowledge in using Microsoft office
  • Excellent in English language.
