Accountant

Scimitar Production Egypt is hiring Accountant to work at Cairo office. The possible Candidate should successfully accomplished one part of CMA or CA . And posses 5 - 7 years of experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry.

• The Candidate will be involved in all activities in the General Accounting Section and manage month end closes and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Coding as per accounting policies and procedures (allocation of the cost) and Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Using & Supervising ERP system
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances (Monthly Closing).
• Enter, review and upload AFE into system (Ideas System)
• Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
• Review, verify invoices and Paying vendors by monitoring discount opportunities according to scheduling pay checks or transfer and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit & continuing to improve the payment process.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling periodically statements and comparing system reports to balances.
• Responsible for and managing month end close processes.
• Preparing analyses of accounts and ensure all costs are allocated correctly & producing monthly reports.
• Support audit requirements both internal and external by providing required information to auditors and providing assistance to the audit team as and when required during the audit
• Material accounting, costing & analyzing
• Supervising junior accountants for day-to-day activities.
