A family business since 1992, a market leader in Cosmetics with the largest portfolio of imported brands, local and private label products; with a country-wide and an omni-channel distribution network. 

GEMs ambition is to establish itself as a key player in the Vitamins and Food Supplements market in Egypt, through a portfolio of leading European and American brands.

Overview of Role:

Vitamins & Supplements Division – We are in search for a Senior Medical Representative / Account Manager with an entrepreneurial strive and an appetite to take a lead role in managing a portfolio of Vitamins and Food Supplements for one of the largest European brands, its launch in Egypt and building a team that would deliver on the business growth plan.

The Senior Medical Representative will be reporting in to the Division Head. The fundamental deliverables of the role are:

  • Launching new imported Vitamin and Supplements brands in Egypt
  • Recruiting and managing a team of Medical Representatives as the portfolio expands
  • Achieve the sales target and maximize market share 
  • Responsible for the best-in-class execution of the brand strategy defined by the Division Head
  • Responsible for the design and execution of tactical plans. 
  • Establishing and delivering a successful omnichannel approach combining face-to-face and digital interactions
  • Representation at congresses and peer-to-peer digital and physical events

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and develop relationships with targeted HCPs within assigned accounts (hospitals, clinics, office-based HCPs etc…)
  • Provide detailed information to target audience, according to cycle messaging instructions, developing and using the necessary communication models
  • Reach promotional call targets based on defined segmentation & targeting plan
  • Maintain contacts with targeted audience via tailored-made Omnichannel plans
  • Collect and share business insights from HCPs and competition to the brand teams (marketing, sales, digital)
  • Share expertise and knowledge of the therapeutic area, the patient journey, the communication and actions of competitors, to anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and challenges
  • Working closely with and providing regular feedback to the marketing and digital teams at GEM marketing campaigns and competition activities in assigned territory and suggest adaptations
  • Implement product strategies within the assigned region following marketing and direct manager’s guidance
  • Design Territory plans based on acute analysis of the market trends and product performance, competitive intelligence analysis, patient journey analysis and robust understanding and analysis of the territory strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Input the territory plan in dedicated tools and present to the sales and marketing team within the defined governance of the therapeutic area.
  • Evaluate parameters for achieving territory goals. Anticipate potential barriers to achieve goals and propose solutions for success
  • Participate in P2P and national congresses and invitations of HCPs
  • Operate within an approved budget from the Division Head
  • Report sales activities, Pharmacovigilance (Adverse events, off-label uses, misuses) and Quality incidents 
  • Act ethically, adhere to GEM’s code of conduct and compliance policies
  • Maintains high level of product & therapeutic area knowledge

     

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements  What you’ll bring to the role:
 

  • Bachelor degree (Pharmaceutical or Healthcare education)
  • French and / or English – Professional Working Proficiency
  • Minimal 3 years sales experience in pharmaceutical field
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Microsoft excel, word &; PowerPoint)
  • Owns a well-maintained vehicle, that is regularly serviced and insured; with ABS and airbag safety features
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • Strong communication skills, communicate in open, clear, complete, timely and consistent manner
  • Listen effectively and invite response
  • Negotiation and presentation skills, capable of adapting the appropriate style/selling approaches with ethics and professionalism
  • Fully supports and implements decisions. 
  • Committed to achieve agreed-upon targets
  • Action oriented, flexibly adapt to challenging and new situations
  • Desire to take on challenges and strive for results
  • Assign highest priority to customer satisfaction, listen to customer, and create solutions for unmet customer needs. Build and maintain close relationship with local opinion leaders and clients
