Job Description
- Providing legal advice to the Company's different departments.
- Representation of the interests of the Company in courts, public authorities, governmental and non-governmental entities.
- Preparation and legal examination of draft orders, instructions, internal rules and regulations and other legal documents.
- Monitoring changes in the legislation of ARE, preparation of legal opinions and legal report and analysis on various types of the Egyptians laws.
- Advising the Company's management and personnel on the application of the ARE legislation.
- Providing legal support of contractual work, examination and reviewing of contracts, follow-up and supervise modifications, termination of contracts and agreements.
- Providing legal support for customs and procurement procedures; participation in the development and approval of customs and tender documents.
- Legal expertise of correspondence; preparation of draft responses to inquiries, claims.
- Managing and leading communication with external counsels with regards to work related issues.
- Participation in the work of working groups and committees.
- Performance of other tasks and assignments from the Head of the department and the management of the Company.
- Representing the Company before the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (‘’EGPC’’) and South of the Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Co. (“GANOPE”).
- Preparing and reviewing of Concession Agreements.
- Leading investigations with regards to internal investigations with staff with regards to any violations of the internal work regulations.
- Any further tasks assigned by the Department Head.
Job Requirements
- Resident of Egypt;
- Qualifying law degree;
- At least 5 years of work experience with mid-sized or large sized companies (oil&gas sector preferably);
- To have a very good knowledge of the Egyptian Laws.
- Intermediate or Upper-Intermediate level of English confirmed by international certificates (IELTS, TOEFL, FCE, etc.).
- Good MS Office skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
