Job Description
- Monitors and maintains current inventory Stock levels.
- Develops and determines the inventory accounting methods and also analyses the inventory related reports.
- Ensure that all product costs are properly taken in the cost of sales and inventory costs.
- Responsible for analyzing the overhead costs and variable costs of the company so as to ensure smooth accountancy.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Manage and maintain the company’s materials and product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.
- Ensure incoming products are receipted and managed appropriately according to the company’s procedures.
- Provide routine management information on inventory performance.
- Produce weekly reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory counts, analyze results, book-to-physical reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues through the use of root-cause analysis.
- Enter purchase details (vendors’ information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases.
- Track all shipments and address any delays.
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions).
- Ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures for inventory transactions.
- Manage the local inventory system by processing change of prices and change of season transactions.
- Follow up on imported purchase orders and processes, ensure the system is up to date with stock levels, and note any discrepancies upon receipt of shipments.
- Analyze actual purchasing/shipping costs and prepare periodic reports.
- Maintain stock analysis reports for warehouses.
- Perform regularly physical count
- Monitor all inventory movements
- Monitor and report on slow, obsolete, overstock and out of stock items
- Check the returns and its reasons
- Keep updated inventory records
- Ensure the maximum utilization of warehouses capacity
- Retain and review warehouses documents and reports
- Making monthly reconciliation between inventory count and financial record
Job Requirements
- Males only.
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Accounting or Business Management)
