General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports school vision, mission, and core values by working as a positive/team player
• Opens to mindset change and accepts constructive suggestions for improvement
• Ensures and uses professional communication at all times by building rapport, trust, and respect
• Takes initiative and be part of the school’s community (duties, events, school activities, etc...)
• Participates and performs assigned duties actively, effectively, and promptly (break duties, substitution classes, events, etc...)
• Punctual
• Follows the professional attire as stated in the faculty manual
• Supports students as a first solution
• follows the hierarchical chart
• Maintains professional and appropriate adult-child communication and interaction with students
• Revises and refers to all school manuals for rights and obligations (student, faculty, academic, E-learning manuals, etc...)
• Reflects good health, physical coordination and vitality during school hours
• Sets a role model to students by following a self-hygiene routine

Academic Procedures and Implementation:

• Uses weekly lesson plans effectively by applying lesson break down, time management, integration, and assessments
• Creates, updates, and implements 10-month plan, curriculum map, and assessments according to subject area standards
• Ensures safe learning environment and implements positive classroom management
• Establishes strategies based on best practices that support student-centered learning and differentiated instruction
• Utilizes the use of technology fairly and effectively driven and aligned with our philosophy as a Microsoft digital transformation school.
• Uses professional language of instruction during class
• Maintains fair and professional means of communication with all students
• Utilizes formative assessments strategies to check students’ understanding prior to presenting new concepts
• Reflects on teaching and updates critical thinking instructional tools to ensure that learning is taking place
• Demonstrates clear routine, organized classroom setting, smooth transitions and preparedness for class.
• Shows willingness to improve in-depth knowledge and self-development
• Develops professional skills and knowledge by attending professional development, seminars, and conferences
• Utilizes and implements the provided PDs, constructive comments, and feedback for improvement inside class
• Provides consistent, fair, and constructive feedback through marking, grading, and assessing students’ progress
• Keeps updated records, analyzes students’ progress, and utilizes data.
• Meets deadlines promptly in responding to emails, and updating online grading book and school’s learning management system and performs other responsibilities related to teacher’s role.
• Substitutes classes if needed and uses emergency lesson plans of the subject taught
