Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer is in charge of producing the shop drawing and execution of all low current and low/medium voltage work (fir alarm, sound system, CCTV, access control, structure cables, MDBs… etc.) in the construction site as per the approved specifications and the project’s time frame. He is also responsible for the testing and final inspections of the electrical systems prior to job completion.

What you are expected to do:

• Responsible for Installation of light current systems such as fire alarm systems, security systems, sound system, phone and data cables, electric panel board boards and access control
• Provide projections for the project’s resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment needed for all electrical works prior to execution
• Check the quality of all electric materials used and that they are compliant with the approved specifications
• Supervise performance of technicians to ensure that the output is aligned with the pre-approved construction drawings, contracts, and project’s specifications
• Coordinate with Electrical Contractors and assign tasks to technicians
• Check the accomplishments of execution targets on a daily basis
• Provide regular progress report to the Project Manager.
• Conduct system testing to evaluate systems’ safety, reliability, and performance
• Produce shop drawing and coordinate with a technical office to prepare purchase orders and follow up with any modifications.
• Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
• Ensure a Proper protection system for all electrical installation.
• Be proactive and resolve electrical issues that may arise at the site.
