Job Description

  • Study the project documents including drawings, specifications, time schedule, Quantity surveying, BOQ (Bill of Quantity), RFI (Request for information), calculating quantities, Cost estimation, correspondence…etc. to take into consideration all the project details during execution.
  • Set the mobilization plan of the project based on the project requirements.
  • Prepare RFIs and send them to the project consultant to obtain missing information and resolve all conflicts.
  • Communicate with concerned departments to prepare the general procurement plan.
  • Conduct an estimated quantity survey to determine the quantity of material that needs to be purchased or procured.
  • Conduct the quantity surveying process to prepare required invoices.
  • Prepare the subcontractors’ and clients’ invoices based on the progress report sent by the site engineer.
  • Prepare and follow up the Variation Orders and prepare Notice to Claim in cooperation with the Contracts team.
  • Prepare periodical reports such as Quantity Executed Invoices and send them to the concerned departments in the headquarters.
  • Define required needs for the project; prepare purchase orders and submit them to the line manager for approval and follow up with the Needs Department on the provision of all materials and equipment required for each project on-site to avoid project interruption.
  • Define the quantities and works of the project. Prepare payment certificates for contractors, submit them to the line manager for approval and follow up by approving them by the technical office at the company’s head office.
  • Prepare the project timetable in case of any new developments, prepare an execution report on a weekly and monthly basis and submit it to the line manager.
  • Receive, keep and prepare replies to letters of the consultant or the owner and submit them to the line manager and project manager for approval.
  • Prepare and issue necessary shop drawings for all allocated tasks.
  • Discuss and suggest technical proposals for design drawings and resolve conflicts between structural and architectural, making bending list and coordination work.
  • Ensure that the site is supplied with all documentation and materials needed to carry out the works.
  • Responsible for communicating with contractors & suppliers.
  • Attend meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers & client representatives as needed.
  • Participate in solving/reporting any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise during construction to the Technical Office Manager for discussion and proper solution.
  • Participate in implementing technical office policies and procedures.
  • Update the shop drawing log before sending the shop drawing to the consultant for approval.
  • Prepare as-built drawings at the end of the project and hand them over to the project consultant

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or Architecture Engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in the same field
  • Females are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent Command of Arabic & English language skills.
  • AutoCAD is a must
  • Primavera is a must
  • Proven experience with technical drawings and details.
  • Extensive knowledge of preparing BOQs (in both Arabic & English languages) including quantity surveys.
  • Knowledge of design standards, local codes, and government regulations.
  • Possession of great work ethic, high degree of integrity, and willingness to put in the hours whenever needed.
  • High organization skills and ability to prioritize & concurrently service multiple projects.
  • Ability to manage own time.
  • Critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • A good eye for details.
  • Ability to work & perform under pressure.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other team members.
