Job Description
Job Purpose:
Develop the most appropriate method and sequence of operations for a particular job in conjunction with other planners and team leaders. A planning engineer plans oversees the entire program of work and must anticipate a job's demands in terms of overall and individual activities. Categories include time, labor, materials, equipment, and technical challenges.
Critical Duties:
- Support the delivery and maintenance of consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the project during both tendering and execution stages.
- Understand and monitor the interfaces between assigned project sub-elements and other sub-elements.
- Conduct the schedule monthly progress update.
Routine Duties:
- Prepares and submits the master program of the project in consultation with Project Manager.
- Comply with the planning and progress monitoring procedures.
- Monitor project progress and advise action to meet the schedule, if delayed.
- Liaise with project engineering personnel to assist in proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.
- Know the contract key dates, milestones and plan dates and how they relate to the overall project schedule.
- Prepare & monitor Cash Flow Reports.
- Preparing the Manpower & Equipment Plan throughout different phases of each project.
Job Requirements
- 5to7 years of experience in a similar role in ( Construction company)
- Bachelor of Engineering in (civil engineer must)
- Experience in the implementation of Earned Value Management based Project Control systems, in accordance with relevant national standards
- Experience in working on large projects
- Practical ability to utilize critical project management concepts management
- Has experience in specialized planning & scheduling software utilization (Primavera and/or MS Project)
- Knowledge of design standards and procedures would be an assist
- Full awareness and implementation of the requirements of the Quality Management system and the Environmental Management System.
