· Developing a procurement business plan for the organization and ensuring that’s it’s communicated.
· Forecasting ongoing demand for goods and services.
· Negotiating contracts and service agreements with suppliers.
· Acting as the main contact point for organizational procurement related questions.
· Researching options to source best value products and services.
· Forecasting price trends and predicting how they will affect the organization.
· Running tenders and evaluating bids before making recommendations that make the most commercial sense for the organization.
· Maintaining the purchasing budget and ensuring best value is maintained.
· Implementing relevant training for individuals within the procurement discipline.
· Ensuring contract files are stored and maintained securely and according to legal requirements.
· Creating and maintaining positive relationships with current and new suppliers.
· Attending industry trade conferences.
· Developing strategies to ensure that supplier performance is monitored.
· Reviewing current contracts to ensure they represent best value.
· Ensuring procurement sources are secure and sustainable.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in #civilengineering
- Experience +20 years in #construction is a must.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced organization.
- Ability to make important decisions in a pressurised environment.
- Strong managerial and leadership skills.
