Remotely for UK from Egypt
We are looking for an experienced backend PHP developer with a deep understanding and experience of API and database engineering.
- At this stage of the platform, our backend developers need to be delivered and security-focused individuals who are able to work under pressure and pay attention to details. The preferred candidates are a full-stack developer
- Experienced in mainly PHP, MySQL and have a scope into both frontend and server technologies to take care of our development related to APIs and database support.
- In this role, this resource will be a leading backend engineer in an Agile environment, ultimately responsible for the engineering quality, design, implementation, and testing of AngularJs code.
- They will work with the PM and frontend developers in analyzing project spec and functional requirements to translate them into working features.
- They should have insight into cutting-edge technologies and processes and develop well-rounded skills such as Security Engineering, Performance, and Data Protection.
Job Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Strong experience in full-stack web development
- Strong understanding of how to build and support performant web applications
- More than 5 years experience of:
- PHP
- MySQL Databases
- RESTful API’s
- Experience with Laravel framework
- Microservice architecture experience
- AWS experience such as:
- ElasticSearch
- Lambda
- Step Functions
- Hands-on experience consuming APIs / service integration;
- Knowledge of unit testing, QA practices, and agile methodologies;
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, multitasking and presentation skills;
- Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
- Experience with GIT or knowledge of Bitbucket and S3
- Working with payment gateways
- Degree in Computer Science or other relevant education.
